What I am working on at the moment
Updated July 2026, from Leipzig.
Looking for my next role. My contract at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences ended in May 2026, the last two months of it as a Scientist. I am now looking for fully remote ML engineering, R&D, or quantitative research positions in the EU. If you are hiring, the CV and projects pages are the quickest overview, and email reaches me directly.
Finishing a paper. An article on interacting vertex operators on the Euclidean AdS₂ background is in preparation for JHEP, together with my former MPI group. The research page has the abstract.
Building differentiable simulators. The current cycle of side projects sits where my physics background meets ML engineering: a differentiable digital twin that optimises structures by backpropagating through a FEM solver, a JAX spring-physics engine, and a WebGPU cloth simulation that runs in the browser. Each one has a live demo, measured benchmarks, and a write-up on the blog.
Training models on the side. I work freelance with Outlier.ai on evaluation and training data for coding models, which keeps me close to how large models actually fail.
This page follows the now page convention: a snapshot of current work rather than a biography, updated when the situation changes.
